Yay for book releases! (Especially books which have promise.) (Also congratulations!)
Dream-wise, hmm. A rainbow house. As in, a house which I can paint, and the metaphorical balls to paint a house rainbow (on the outside. But also on the inside. Red kitchen, orange bathroom, purple living room, blue dining room which I will make into a sewing room or something but it's really the dining room...)
Okay, really, I just want the house I have in my head. I've planned everything out. Two bedrooms, one and half baths, wonderful old hardwood floors. Attic with built-in bookshelves and air conditioning (no other part of the house needs air conditioning because I'm not used to it, but the book and computer room would need it). Second floor IS the attic. Two ambiguous front doors (as in, which one do you go to? Who knows?), set off the road, hidden by trees. Well water. Lab bench counter-tops although I saw some magnificent wood ones so I don't know anymore. Bottom-freezer refigerator. A 'two ovens in the space of one oven' oven (save space, but have the option of having two different cooking temperatures). Lots of cabinet space, but not too high up. Not!tall ceilings (7 1/2 feet, max.). Maybe a wood stove (in the sewing/dining room. I have a layout in my head and it's probably the best place for it).
Yeah, I think big. And I know you said dream but I want to fill it with all of the books on my wishlist and more and then read them all. I'm not looking to make a big impact on the world. A house full of books is enough for me.
Also, sorry it's so rambly. I've spent hours planning it and thus ideas tend to spew forth.

Wow! That is a very well-thought out dream! I always think that being able to see all the details of the dream make it even likelier that it will come true! Good luck!

One dream I have for my life is to go to Law School. I love anything related to the law and really want to be a lawyer and hopefully a judge someday. Of course, I also hope to be a published author, but fortunately the two dreams aren't mutually exclusive.

Well, I've had many dreams; being famous, inventing a heating machine that keeps the heat 100%, going to law school, writing a book and be recognized, finding one true love in an awesome way, meet someone famous and not knowing it...but now I just want to keep going day by day and if I happen to glance my dream along the way, then it's a bonus. I just dream about having good dreams

I really want to be a published young adult writer. I've seen that's a fairly common dream from the other posts here, and I think that's wonderful. I think YA does so much good for its readers when it's done well.
I really think the YA genre is wonderful because it can instill so much in its readers. The teen years are so difficult to navigate, and I can think of so many books that have been like a compass for me. I'm twenty now, but I still read them because I've gotten lost so many times and they take me back to such a good place.
I can think of so many YA books I have read that have really changed my outlook, and if I can help someone that way, I would be so incredibly happy. I want to write a book that will make some girl (or some boy) feel comfortable with who he or she is. I've struggled with low self-esteem just like everyone else, and I want to be able to help other people.
This post has gotten kind of lengthy, and I'm sorry about that! I just tend to get kind of carried away when I talk about this particular dream of mine. Congratulations on getting your book published, Cheryl! I'm so happy for you! Maybe someday mine will be sitting by yours!

Thank you for your wonderful comment. I completely agree with you. I still find that YA helps heal some wounded part of my soul. And like you, I hope to write books that serve as some sort of a compass, some little reminder to listen to the inner voice that points the way. Best of luck to you on your path! Someday I'll be entering your contest
